you'll think of something

cya, google!

excited to share that i’ve finally degoogled. it took months—i had 300GB+ of data—but it was worth the frustration and effort.

my partner has always cared about digital privacy. i, on the other hand, haven’t and would find myself parroting the beloved “i have nothing to hide” response. in retrospect, i’m embarrassed how little i cared.

last night i was standing in the kitchen with my partner and as we were talking about data and privacy, he asked “what made you finally care?” my response was mostly that it feels like i’m gaining my power and agency back—bit by bit.

also? life is so much clearer and so much more real without the unnecessary noise.

next step? a dumb phone, hopefully. 💁🏻‍♀️

lastly, a couple of photos from the long weekend (nutella chocolate chip cookies i baked and our christmas tree featuring a cat—of course): IMG_8703 IMG_8704
